I know it depends on the person but, how long does it take to develop liver damage to cirrhosis if someone?

If someone has been drinking a six pack each day for the past 4 months?
Yes i have a member of the family who is doing this now.

Greetings,

Alcholic cirrhosis only occurs with heavy drinking for an extended period of time, measured in decades. Four months of drinking carries no risk.

The amount of alcohol in six beers is borderline, but is likely insufficient to cause cirrhosis in the average, well-nourished individual (especially a male) even with a lifetime of use.

i doubt 4 months is enough time to develop cirrhosis. be more worried if they drink half a fifth or more a day. still, genetics does play a big role as well as diet and general living conditions.

I know some people, that have been drinking 18 to24 beers a day for 30yrs and do not have any problems

The liver is actually the only organ that can regenerate itself, this is why sometimes when liver translpants are being performed the best donors are family members. They actually take half of the liver and transplant it, this regenerates to its actual size.
When people consume alcohol, the liver gets damaged. When the liver actually stops regenerating its self it is then called cirrhosis; A chronic disease of the liver characterized by the replacement of normal tissue with fibrous tissue and the loss of functional liver cells. It can result from alcohol abuse, nutritional deprivation, or infection especially by the hepatitis virus.

Every person has a different metabolism, some regenerate more than others...
one thing is for sure... you can have all the money in the world, but HEALTH cant be bought.

GOOD LUCK!
