What effect do hormones have on liver cancer?

On terminal liver cancer do hormones slow it down? shrink it? Confused!

Hormones as in the medication kind. I think It's similar ones to Arimidex but they work a little differently.

If it is a hormone dependent liver cancer eg secondaries then hormone therapy is worth a try .The cancer growth will not only slow down but it may regress.

Good Luck.

Not sure what you mean? Taking hormones on purpose? What kind of hormones? Progesterone, Estrogen, what? HRT for menopausal women?

Hormonal Therapies are sometimes used to treat secondary cancer of the liver, when the cancer has spread from elsewhere in the body. They slow the cell growth down and improve symptoms.
Arimidex is a type of hormonal therapy used in the treatment of breast cancer in women who have had their menopause (change of life). This is what makes me think she has secondary Liver cancer that originated from the breast.

I have e-mailed you regarding prognosis, but medical records show that approximately 7% of Liver Cancer patients survive up to 5 years.

They are sometimes used to try and slow down the growth of the tunour. Their effects is very variable;
