What's the mortality rate of liver cancer patience?

secondary cancer(liver) lumps found in neck; 74 year old white woman; symptomatic for 1 1/2 years. diagnosed 2 weeks ago
otherwise extremely healthy and active.

it sounds to me that by having lymph node involvement the cancer has spread thru her lymph system ,making this stage 2-4 cancer,is liver the primary site? Liver ca likes to spread to the lungs, brain has she had a full body PET scan it will show you all the areas that the cancer has spread. lymphatic system runs throughout our body they act as filters;there, they also contribute to the spread of cancer when it has spread to lymph systems. Make every day her birthday filled with love and joy

No one can tell you that; even doctors can be wrong.

Think the best. Do the treatments and try not to let it get your down.

Good Luck and God Bless

as a former lpn i want to addres this because while there are "guidelines" or " average '' times of lifespan... IT IS NOT SET IN STONE!!!! everyone is different, how they react to treatments, their lifestyle. etc.etc etc. good luck & live as though they might be right but expect they could be wrong when anyone says only a set amount of time
