How to regain strength/ flexibility after ligament injury in ankle? |
I had a partial tear of the lateral collateral ligament in the ankle over a month back. I have resumed walking and climbing stairs minimally. There is no pain, though long distances cause my ankle to swell again. I am regularly using hot water to soothe the ankle and do basic exercises. But I am unable to walk normally and continue to limp. My ankle movement is restricted - and I am unable to flex it up and down. What can I do to regain flexibility and how long will this typically take? I got some bad news for you. Actually maybe not that bad. |
