Serious lower back pain help pleeaasseee!!!!?

i fell on my stairs and then i realised that my lower back is hurting very badly. it is the lower tip of my back bone. now i cannot do anything, no exercise at all.. but i have no problem in walking and standing. my doctor said that there is some kind of ligament injury and it will repair by its own in a period of time. then some other person told me that you should give heat to that area for 10min and then apply ice immediately for faster improvemence. i am very confused and very sad as its been 2 and a half months now..
please help me.....

Have somebody to massage you gently with pain relieve cream. You will find that at Walgreen's. Sometimes, if i don't have that, i use rubbing alcohol.

go to a principled family chiropractor.
www.chiropractic.org will help you find someone.

stretch it out by laying on the floor and pulling your knees to your chest. if you have weak stomache your pelvis will tilt and cause all kinds of things to happen in your back.
