Share your success & motivate?

I used to be extremely fit girl, working out, soccer, swimming, before a ligament injury on my ankle took me out of action for one and half years. Now I got back to workout routine (I am 25 pounds heavier) since 1 mnth and work out 5-6 days a week and have a significantly better diet(frequent and low calorie). My knowledge about fitness tells me it takes time and patience. But, I have not seen any significant change in wt (only some daily fluctuations) tho I see a bit in muscle tone now. It is not noticable to others. My motivation is about to vain.

I wld like to hear success stories from people, to have strong motivation. Details like your background, what was ur diet & exercise plan, how soon did you see the results, how significant were the results, what motivated you, etc would be of great help. bodyforlife.com is good but want to know real success stories too may or maynot be bodyforlife.
Suggestions, advice, stories, any motivation welcome. Thanks.

My highest weight was 160 when I was about 14 years old. I was terrified of not fitting into juniors anymore and I hated how I looked so I started losing weight. I have lost 30 lbs and kept it off for 5 years. (wow.. just thought about it..and it hardly feels like any time has gone by!) It took me about 4 weeks until I started seeing results that also Felt like results. I loved feeling my clothes get looser and looser. Now I wear a size 7 and hoping to wear a 3/5 sometime in the future. I keep a diary and talk about my weight in it and how I've been doing. I also talk about what is going on in my life around me when there are times of binge or overeating. I have found a high correlation of stress or working too much whenever I have binged or overate. This diary helps me regulate my life because it reminds me that I need to take time out for me, and I only have one day at a time! I can't live the future today and I can't relive the past, so I need to live in the moment and work for a goal. I also associate exercise with somethign else I can get done. For instance when I run or use machines at the gym, I can read magazines or catch up on a book or homework I have to do. I can also listen to music I like or watch a tv show at the gym. When I go on walks I use the time to meditate and think deep thoughts. After a few weeks of walking regularly, I crave not only the mental feeling I get, but also the feeling in my body that exercise brings me.
Eating healthy foods can be satisfying too. I love vegetables now, fruits, and whole grains. My preferences really changed when I started to eat healthy. I also have shinier hair, nails, and better skin. The key to remember is that you are changing for a healthy life and body. Not to be skinny or look better. If you are changing to be skinny or look better than you really aren't doing it for the right reason. You may resent the fact that 'other people' think you are fat, or that they put pressure on overweight people to lose weight. You will alsways feel like going to the gym is 'work' and another thing to do on your list to make someone out there happy.. even if it is yourself who hates how they look. Life isn't about looks though! You want to have a healthy, fit body so that you are capable of living a life of energy and you may also feel more mentally alert and want to accomplish goals better.
Good luck and make life style changes, like walking every morning during the week for 30 min. or biking to work every day, or whatever you plan on doing. Also try cooking your meals. That way you know what is going in them yourself, and you value the food you eat. Make extra for left over meals later in the week so that you don't have to spend ALL of your time in the kitchen.
Good luck!
