How long does it take to heal and fully recover from a torn ACL injury? |

I think up to 6 months with rehab it depends on you truthfully. i know for the wrestler triple h, it took like 7 months. Very long...and you will need to get used to moving on it. Blood circulation and strength of surrounding muscles will help. hi im 15 and a sophomore in high school and i play basketball i tore my acl,and my mcl and i was on cruches for about 9 mounths and then i could not play for about another 6 mounths I tore my ACL, MCL and LCL and dislocated my knee the day before I entered freshman orientation at college in August. They told me it was a sprain at the ER, so I went to college on crutches and walked around on it for a week. Went to the doc, figured out that it was a lot worse, and obviously I had to have surgery. My injury was pretty severe. It took me about 2 months to get off crutches, with about 4 months of rehab. I went back to school in January. I was walking, but it took me quite a while before I could run or walk long distances. Unfortunately, it will be a while, but don't rush it or you'll re-injure yourself. |
