Life support machine? |
I was very ill on a life support machine.I dont remember all of the day i was rushed into hospital- I had been having respritory problems, and kept telling the hospital on previous admissions they were missing something- It got so bad it became life threatening-I am on the road to recovery so my question is .when i came round i could hardley move my body i felt very heavy because i was so weak. Also i get flash backs and worry i will end up in hospital without me nowing again has anyone else been in this position if so please will you let me know how you are and if this is all normal and how long does it take to get your strengh back I stayed two weeks in a coma from an automobile accident. The doctors weren't sure if I'd pull out of it, be brain damaged, or if I would ever walk, talk, or anything again, but I beat the odds, and now I can do just about what I want. So, if your outcome is as mine you'll be all right. As far as how long it will take, that's any body's guess the secret here is not to give up, and be patient. You'll return to yourself in time. my heart goes out to you, different people take different times to recover from different problems. Yes young Miss - been there, done that. Glad to see you're now well on the way to recovery. Yes you will feel weak and 'out of it' for a while - this is partly due to the copious amounts of Oxygen you've been given as well as some form of medication - possibly Morphine - to control any pain you may have experienced. |
