Statistics on how much it costs to keep a patient on life support? |
I need to find statistics on how much it costs to keep a patient on life support; what is the likelihood of their recovery; wha isi the quality of life after coming off life support etc Cost is $2000-$3000 a day (See link to article below) And in answer to your other questions, it depends on the extent of injuries the patient has/had to their recovery and the quality of life afterwards. There is such a wide spectrum of possiblities it's hard to answer those questions effectively w/o specific details. when my friend was on life support and the odds were'nt very good it cost her a little over 75 thousand dollar and in the end she died which i think if a family member is that bad you need to make them comfortable and let god do what ever we all have a number that is in are head when we are supposed tp leave this planet 9 times out ten they are going to suffer or have someone taking care of you for the rest of your life and that is no way to be you have to think about what would you want if it was you and what it is going to do to your family |
