My friend has liver failure from hep b he is now on life support? |
he canot talk his eyes are open, he needs a new liver , how long can he last with being on life support? This is a hard time for you, your friend and the family, so sorry to hear that ! How long exactly is impossible to say, but if he is kept going with nutrients etc then hopefully he'll remain strong and a donor organ will come up real soon. Once in acute liver failure that is usually the only option. Once he has the transplant there is a whole new life to enjoy. Take care, all of you, stay positive and keep talking to him, please. Never assume that somebody cannot hear you only they seem unconscious. Your friend may preserve all his energy this way and well understand what is being said. It might give him all the hope he needs to hang on. All the best for you all. he can not at this time unless he is brought out of comatoss state, which they do indue to keep injurys at bay keep watch for knewmonia it often happens, lots of prayers going out to you and i do not thank mine is good or get a way to get me tested would help any one that i could. There is no set time for how long he can last while on life support. This is a critical stage for him. It varies from person to person. People are placed on the transplant list |
