What do u think about this medical ethic topic! Disconnecting one from life support?

since we all know the story about (Terri Schiavo) and if u don't! let me tell u. Terri was on comma for about 12years and on life support. her husband wanted her to be disconnected from life support but her parent don't. to cut the long story short. this case went to court and was the talk on news and papers. but her husband won and she was disconnected and died few days later. did her husband do the right thing or do u think are parent had a point by not disconnection their child. and if u were her doctor what would u have done, remember to state good, solid reasons for your decision. also should the government have a say in medical ethic

I think the husband did the right thing. If there is no chance for a recovery and no brain activity I feel people are totally justified in cutting off life support. Religious fanatic people will disagree and say it is against god's will, but I say if God wants her alive let God heal her, not man. It was Gods will that she die of the disease or accident whatever it was it was man's intervention that put off her death this far it is man,s decision when this intervention is no longer worth it.

I feel that if there is no quality of life and if you had to depend on others for the basic necessities of life, then maybe the best idea is to remove the life support system...what benefit is there in just lying in a hospital bed when you don't even know who you are, who your loved ones are, what has happened to you...
