Are you for or against the life support system?

Why or why not?
If there are any websites you now about that deals with this please tell me.

I am for the life support system only when the doctor thinks that the patient will get better. If the doctor thinks that the patient will not get better and the only reason that the patient is on life support is because the family dosen't want to let that person go then no I don't believe in it. I guess it just depends on the situation.

Wish you could have gone into more detail.
If a person wants to be on life support who will more than likely recover, I say do it.
If a person is going to die anyway, I think it is his or her right to refuse it.

I am totally against life support. If I ever am in a coma for more than 6 months to a year...and they have to use a breathing machine to make me breath..then no way...I would rather die...than put my family in financial slump and burden them with heart ache.

I am totally for.

Why would anyone be against it?
I believe that you can never tell when the body is healing or when a person in a coma is going to come out etc etc, so I think you should never give up on them.

That doesn't mean to say someone needs to be at their bedside the whole time or they need to be a burden but I really don't like the idea of giving up on someone like that. Anything is possible.

I've read stories about people getting better when they were considering switching the machine off so there's just too much at risk imo.

Can you give more info though? Are you talking about what I said or do you mean life support for new born babies or something ? Or vegetables?

against if there is not a sign of returning to a consious life. The person would pass without the work of the machine keeping them ''alive''. When it's time......it's time.

I have a living will that states that in the event of a catastrophic injury or illness, life support WILL BE TERMINATED if after 90 days there is no hope of recovery.

i all depends. if there is a chance that the person could come out of it or if there is brain activity.then lets keep them alive. if there is no chance of that person coming out or if theres no brain activity then no
