How long is someone usually in a coma, before doctors decide to pull life support? |
The person was in a bad car accident and isn't responding to anything I believe that time is a great healer, the more you are damaged the longer it takes for the body to repair itself, I don't wish to give you false hope but just make 100% certain that they is no hope before deciding to switch off. It really depends on the family, and if they want them to pull the plug. the doctors dont decide. its the next of kin usually.. or someone who has power over them.. medically. doctors dont decide.. but they would just 'advise' well id guess the doctors would keep them on life support for a little while to see if theres anything they could dooo i guess it would depend on how deep the coma is and how badly the person was hurt...you could do some research to find out how long the longest coma was before they pulled the plug. i don't really know much about this stuff. |
