ok, i have lice, and ive had it FOREVER! since like september, and ive tried RidEx like 98324091238403824 times! ive done research and should i dye my hair(if so, is there a product you have in mind) or do that mayonnaise thing PLEASE HELP!

Any hair dye will work. I used it on my daughter and they were gone. If you have had them this long then you need to be sure they arent under your scalp. Wash linens in hot water and clean your furniture also...and carpets. Stuffed animals, furry pillows, anything like that needs to be put in plastic bags for 30 days sealed tightly. Go to the doc and be sure they havent burrowed under your skin and then try dye if they havent. The prescription LYDEX is very expensive, but it does work. I mean like 80.00 per treatment. I went with the hair dye.

wow..thats serious..ive only known one person who had an inffestiation like that..and she had to go to the doctor becuase the lice eggs and stuff were actually embedded into her scalp..nasty nasty nasty..by now yu shouldnt have to look hard to see them they are probably falling out of your hair onto your desk at school in plain sight of everyone...nasty!!..lice infests your clothes, carpet, car seats..bedding..everything..you have to scrub everything with bleach!!..call a doctr for some real medicine..

Have you washed all your clothes and pillows in hot water, quarantined anything unwashable, and otherwise cleaned up EVERYTHING that might have lice living in it? It's quite possible that you're being re-exposed and catching lice over and over from something, or someone perhaps.

I forget exactly what you have to do to rid your environment of lice, how to wash your clothes to kill them, etc (it's been awhile since I had them!) but there are lots of websites that explain. Stuffed toys, pillows, rugs, clothing, coats, etc can all have lice in them that could reinfect you if you aren't very meticulous about cleaning or quarantining them!

Also, if you have a boyfriend, or are in close proximity to anyone alot of the time, make sure they get checked for lice... If they have it too, you'll keep reinfecting eachother!

I lived in Hawaii for 13 years and lice are a big problem. Be sure you are treating all your clothes and bedsheets etc as well-they need to be washed on the hottest setting and dried preferably with a dryer to kill lice that may be inr the material. You are probably re-infesting yourself if you havent treated your bedding and towels. Also if you have stuffed animals or large blankets you can put them in plastic bags for several days (sorry I cant remember exactly how long) to kill off the lice and eggs. Then, redo your hair treatment and be sure to pick thru your hair for the eggs-they are small and stick to the hair shafts so you may need help-otherwise the eggs'll hatch and there you go again.
