Lice.......?

ok, my mother got lice from where she was working and me and my sister got it. My mom was lucky enough to get rid of it after a few days and my sister got rid of it a few days ago. I still had it, but I used the shampoo and it really seemed to work. EVERY live lice died. And most eggs came out. Then a nurse picked out a few remaining eggs. This morning sprayed alot of hairspray in my hair, held my hair under water for a long time hoping to drown them, and then today I dyed my hair too. I had been wanting to dye it and I was hoping that the dye would kill some.
We searched through my hair and there is no sight of them.
But around 1 hour ago my head started itching again. Could the itch be all in my head, could there possibly be something I missed, or after a lice bites you can you have a reaction where you still itch for a while? What?

Treat your hair again in 7 days to be sure that no remaining eggs will hatch. Some lice are so small that they are really difficult to see,
Your scalp was probably just irritated by the products you've used on it in the last few days.
And...just the word lice makes you start scratching.

there is a possibility that you did get all the lice out of your head. but there might have been some bugs in your stuffed animals, sheets, anywhere you need to strip your whole house they jump.

With feeling lice still in your hair, the very thought of lice makes my head itch. The saliva causes quite a severe allergic reaction on your scalp and can itch for up to two weeks after the head lice are gone.

Unless you find live eggs or lice in your hair don't rely on itching to tell you there are still live lice present. Check close to the scalp and make sure you see either live eggs or lice before you retreat yourself.

Before you listen to anyone advising you to repeat your pesticide treatment please consider the following:

No chemical head lice treatment is legally allowed to be labeled as 'safe' as every insecticide is a poison. Every pesticide preparation has the potential to do serious damage depending on the individual. If a lice treatment does not work once it is not going to work twice, in fact the lice that live will breed into a whole new batch that are resistant to that chemical.

Read these articles and try to find a natural remedy containing Neem oil as this renders the lice unable to breed therefore making it impossible for them to build up a resistance.

u still got lice.
