Lice question here?

my daughter has been exposed to lice twice in the past four weeks. I have been checking her hair almost daily. However, the first time she was exposed i found two eggs but they didnt pop (those who have had to deal with lice before know what i mean). so i didnt treat her i just used the lice comb on her everday and nothing. two weeks ago a friend of hers came down with lice. i did the same thing check her hair and nothing. tonight ( two weeks later) i found three eggs but none of them poped and she has no itching. its sorta strange. i hate treating her for nothing. if the eggs dont pop their dead correct?

i hate the idea of treating her if not needed should i really be worried about three eggs that are dead?

If she has eggs she has lice. You will only find bugs in the most advanced cases. You should get RID and treat her now. Wash everything in the house and car. Then spray things you cannot wash. Afterwards you won't have to check everyday and the eggs will not return anymore. If more parents took care of lice well, the first time around less kids would get it. Your daughter might be sprending the lice on to the other childern. Eggs don't mean they are dead, just that they haven't hatched yet. She may have bugs that you haven't seen yet. The bugs could be on her pillow, the car seat, the couch. You should check everyone in your household. It isn't for nothing, she has lice, you need to treat her.

i would call the doc or cvs and ask them to be sure

there is this shampoo that is like $100 but it really works my mom used it on us when we got the lice LOL but yeah go to the pharmacy and ask you the shampoo, dont know what it;s called though.

NO!!!! If you see 1 egg you better treat her!!!!!! Im not joking my little bro had it plz I beg you for her sake treat her!!!!!!!

My daughter was exposed to lice a lot in elementary school - she even had sleepovers with other girls who came down with lice. But my daughter never ever got them. I have no idea why but I just count our blessings. Maybe our kids have some kind of immunity.

I wouldn't treat her unless you have to.

You need to treat her, as well as wash everything possible in your home, clothes, pillows, pillow cases, curtains, anything you can wash. The eggs may not have popped but there may be some on her pillows, clothes, car. you need to treat her and if she has any siblings. Ruggs everything. Or they will keep coming back. Those are the only ones you are seeong and if she keeps ending up with egs, then they are comming from something and no it doesn't mean they are dead if they don't pop, it may mean that that batch or particular egg has not hatched. You need to check yourself as well. Don't be imberrassed eith, this happens to the best of us with kids. Her friend that had some on her, she needs to do the same treatment process. Also anyones house she has been to or daycare, school, you need to inform them. Lice spreads VERY fast and very easily.

Eggs turning up in her hair are as uncomely as the lice themselves- though not as iritating.
I would definitely treat her and check her twice daily.
Also, I would talk with the parents of the other kids so you're all on the same page.

Check your home too, make sure to clean everything that may have lice like bedding and couches.

Try crushing them with your finger nails to make sure they can't hatch. Be aware of the risks of using lice shampoos on kids. There have been studies that show that it can cause tumours in children. Something to do with absorbtion through the skin while the shampoo is sitting on the scalp.

your better safe than sorry if i was you i would treat her one more time !

There's this shampoo called RID. They sell it in CVS. It cost about $25. It will get rid of the lice instantly. Guarantee!!

even if you find the eggs you still need to treat her
