Head Lice?

Is it possible to recieve Head Lice from someone the day they were possibly, in contact with someone who has lice? In other words... if person a has lice, and person b is around them, and later person c comes in contact with person b, is it possible for person c to get lice, if person b is not affected, or has visible lice?

Lice crawl; they don't jump or fly. Lice are spread by having had direct head to head contact (ie hugging with hair touching, sharing hats, etc) to get any number of lice to set up shop on another person's head. Person B and C are highly unlikely to get infested without the direct contact.

My first (and hopefully last!) experience with lice was when I noticed nits on my oldest DS 3 weeks ago. I had those little buggers gone within 3 days! Nobody else he had been in contact with or within my household (me, DH, youngest DS) ever got infested. As a result, I do, however, insist my family use a natural tea tree oil & lavender shampoo/conditioner as a natural preventative (I like Giovanni the best; also tried JASON; California Baby makes one too), along with Lice Off spray daily, in between shampoos.

Hope that helps!

If b doesnt have them you should be ok.

They say the louse can jump but I think it is sorta the contact u have had with them as if using same brush or sleepin with the person just, sittin around them I don't think u should have a problem with it.
