Lice help..?

I have lice. I am fighting this war, but haven't quite won it yet, but I'm getting there.
I have clean hair here.
Simple mind/ simple answers here, reading,asking questions, testemonies, cures, success stories, it's all good.
I am learning as I go along here.
Nits, these are the lice egg shells. What color are they ?
Lice eggs, what color are they ?
I am mostly on my own as for the combing and grooming here. What's the best way to do this ?
The traditional treatments are out, been there, done that. What's next ?
Tea Tree oil is great.
Dose it keep on killing, or what ?
Due to sensitive scalp, I can't leave it in too long. How long do I keep it i ? Minimum time, but effective ? How long, just guess..
Coconut oil, olive, etc.
Apply it before, or during the blow drying ?
The eggs are sticky.
Can and dose vaccuming really do any good ? I mean, they stick to the hair, what about the fabric/ carpets ?
No pestacides, what's next ?
Pets and allergies to pest chems.

Clear eggs,yes tea tre oil is good u don't need to leave it in more than 5 minutes
.it kills them quick.... the oil nneds to be applied after u dry ur hair the oil will keep the lice from sticking to ur hair.. the vaccum work to get them out of the carpet and off the beds.. u have to stay on top of them they will drive u nuts.

I had them when I was in third grade, got them form the girl who sat in front of me always flicking and scrathing her head. Anyway I bought some stuff called RID and it worked. The eggs are white and the lice bugs are brown. Hard to see. RID comes with a fine tooth comb to get the eggs out of your hair too!!Hope this helps

I used StopLice from a drug store.....I used it once and it has not returned....I had it for sometime but no more..I am lice free for more than 8 years

Here is a simple solution---

Buy some pure petroleum jelly(vaseline) spread it through your hair and on the scalp--cover it with a plastic shower cap and sit under the dryer for approximately 30 minutes---wash all your bed linen in hot water with Tide antibacterial washing powders--your carpet should be cleaned---if you can not afford a cleaning at this time--buy some type of carpet fresh that is allowed to use around pets---this will help----the way to keep lice out of your home is to wash your hair and body daily---

Weekly I would wash and apply some Tea Tree Oil to the hair and then wash it out--maybe for 5 minutes--it will not hurt your scalp---

Wow...my daughter had it and what I did was wash EVERYTHING that her hair could have touched, used an over-the-counter removal "kit" that came with a spray to help kill and clean the bedding, mattress, pillows, etc. I did the treatment on her hair twice in a matter of 3 days and it got rid of it. ok i know this is weird but it will work. the best way to kill them is to smother them. black people dont get them because their hair is corse and they put grease and oil in their hair which smothers them and they cant move. My daughter and I once had it and we tried everything for three months finally I asked the dr because I refused to keep putting chemicals on my daughter. He suggested to put vasaline in our hair. its messy and takes a few days to wash out but it worked. one application and they died. Cover your hair in it. and then comb and comb. Like I said it is messy and will take a few days to get it completely work but you wont have to worry about them anymore. Just make sure you wash and dry every thing in your house you have used and touched since you have had them, bag all toys and leave them outside or in a garage or at least a month and vaccum everywhere thourghly. Comb your hair more often, at random times of the day just to disturb the little buggers. They wont like living in your hair if it's not peaceful. Perhaps use a mild shampoo, dont rinse off but maybe wash your face or do something for a while before you comb your hair in the shower and rinse off.. I dont know what your hair type is, but some people can stand shampooing every day. I heard some people shampoo every two weeks I hope that's not you.. Also maybe consult your hairstylist.. or a dermatologist. Good luck.

Lice eggs are kind of white, sort of like little paint "flecks" in the hair. I don't know anything about using tee tree oil for lice. Vacuuming is really no help for lice. It may pick up some of them but it certainly won't get them all and it won't kill them.

OTC lice treatments work great but usually need to be left on the scalp at least 10 minutes. If you have sensitive scalp you may need to consult your doctor for a prescription remedy. As for the rest of the house, there are sprays you can buy and everything and anything that can be washed in the washer with good HOT water, should be. Stuffed animals and such you can put in a large plastic bag and spray the spray stuff, leave it there at least 24 hours and then the lice should be dead. I usually just threw them out though. The best advice I can give you for getting the nits (eggs) out of your hair though is after you shampoo and kill the lice pour a mixture of half vinegar and half water over your hair. It stinks to high heaven but it loosens the nits so they comb out easier. The smell evaporates rather quickly. If you have sores where the lice have bitten you, the vinegar will sting a bit but it won't hurt you. Good luck. It's a tedious task but once you get rid of them, you should be all right. Also, if one person in the house has them, then everyone should be treated.
