Freaking LICE!? |
I work in a daycare, two little girls in a seperate classroom were sent home with lice today. All my kids were checked, so were the kids in the other room, but it's flipping me out! We don't have lice, we want to keep from getting it. I'm not going to put my kids through treatment if they don't have lice TEA TREE OIL Pyronate 200 keep your hair up...in a pony tail or braid or something. Get a special shampoo. And remember not to share a brush with them and try not to touch their hair or vice versa. ask your family doctor. chances are no, those things can spread quickly and seprate room are no safe haven. just make sure that ur kids dont put on any1 else's hat.... well, just in case you DO have it, buy a lice medicine. use it every day. and (it might be ugly) but wear a hat or something to keep from the lice jumping onto your scalp, but either way--USE LICE MEDICINE!!!i have some and i use it every time sum1 around me has lice :) Head lice are wingless insects approximately the size of a sesame seed that feed on human blood. They are the most common form of lice infestation in the United States. The majority of cases occur in children between the ages of 3 and 10 and their families. Yes, tea tree oil is great. My son got lice once and no one else in our family got it, and we shampooed with Melaluca shampoo. i've heard that they don't like dandruff shampoo. however, traditionally it is reccomended that your kids not share bedding, combs, brushes, clothing or any surface where the lice can crawl and gain access to their heads. they prefer clean and free flowing hair so the oil and putting it up may be helpful. in nursing school the department of health lady swore up and down they don't jump, but as far as i'm concerned the jury is still out on that one. good luck-you'll need it. I work very closely with children all day who occasionally have lice. I have been doing this for over 7 years and have never gotten lice. I wouldn't worry about it much. Wash & dry on Hot. The best thing to do is to change her pillow case everyday, keep all other family members away from her and ehr room, put all her stuffed animals in a plastic bag for at least 3 weeks even after th... I'm sorry to hear of your troubles getting rid of lice. My answer is going to be long, but I think you'll get a lot of useful info out of it. First of all, don't use the OTC or p... Don't use it unless you need it. It will dry out your scalp and hair REALLY badly. Have someone check your hair for you, usually the back the of the head, they will be able to see little thing... you're gonna have to get new bedding , new brushes everything. my sister had them when we were younger and they never spread to anybody else. my mother finally had to take my sister to the doc... false ...I t is LICE.....a curse! lol, no really wash all linens wash everyone's hair (all the family). spray all the furniture where u sit ect..yes kids at school pass it on even through their clothes... my daughter got them and gave them to me because we shared a bed. simple cleaning isn't enough because they have claws. despite what people usually think of lice..they tend to feed on clean pe... yes but i would go ahead and retreat, ... |
