Head Lice help?

My nephew stayed a couple weeks with me over the summer and after he left, 2 of my kids started itching. After searching I found head lice. 3 days ago after I saw it, I bought treatment (Nix) and a lot of Rid Lice Spray products. I did everyone's hair with the products even my own, my husband's and my 18 month old's, I wasn't about to take any chances with school starting this coming week.
I washed EVERYTHING in hot water and dryed in hot dryers. I bagged up all the stuffed animals and set them in my shed.
I sprayed all the mattresses and furniture in every area front and back until they were soaked and steam cleaned the carpets. Pretty much everything I could imagine, I did.
Yesterday both my son and daughter were itching again. I looked and I found a live lice on each one of their heads. Just one, but it was there and usuaully if there is one there is more.
I don't have much experience with this and I don't know what else to do. Any ideas? I'm in a panic, school starts in 3 days

With lice treatments, you often have to treat twice, once for the lice and a second time 7 to 10 days later for the eggs when they hatch. Treat with Nix once more and you should be clean... Outdoor cats, and pets are a common sourse of lice as well. Make sure you dip any pets.

As your children (any children for that matter) will have the head lice problem in the early years of tender age, it apears that you have taken too much care.
That much tension is not required.

First if you feel you can take this daring step:

Just cut the length of hair of children for 2 - 3 months and keep only a minimum level. Lice can also fly from head to head and can pass from child to child since they have the opportunity to sit too close to each other in their school.

While sleeping also keep the children away from one another to prevent a passing from one to another.

2ND preventive technique - Now a days so many shampoos are available in the market for killing head lice and one of them is keo-karpin (indian product) for head lice. If you just apply this for a week regularly - lice would fall down and secondly, you put natural shampoos like Shikakai which are made naturally using certain herbals.

Avoid your children going through disty atmosphere, as this may cause lot of sweating.

Guide your children not to go towards any pet animals like cats, dogs, sheep etc. as they may contain lice in large nos.

Another important thing is that you wash your childrens clothes including school uniforms in boiled water as the steam and heat will kill and destroy all the eggs and lice directly.

Suggest the children not to go too nearer to the fellow children who are having this problem.

Also, avoid oily fried foods for a week and fast foods which would indireclty bring in the expected relief.
