After a lice infestation, what is the best way to clean your floors, curtains, clothes etc.? |
Pubic lice, and head lice keep reoccuring in my household. Only me and my 87 year old mother live in the house. I have wood floors and carpet in the den and living room. After continuously washing my clothes, you can often see signs of lice in the seams and collars of t-shirts. What can I do? you have to put everything that can not be washed in plastic bags (IE: stuffed animals, and other things that shouldn't go in the washer) then go to the store and there in the area where you find the shampoo to get lice out of your head you will find a spray get it spray all your furniture and carpets. wash and dry everything that can be washed then wash your hair with the shampoo make sure to use the comb provided to get all the lice out of your head cause just washing it wont get them all out you also need to make sure all the eggs are out and washing alone wont do that either. then do the same with you mother wash her hair and use the comb on it. but you have to make sure you spray everything with the spray (beds, furniture, every and anything that you can not put in the washer or plastic bag needs to be sprayed) i don't think there is an insect spray for this but you can look around in your local wal-mart or k-mart. but i know for a fact that what i have told you works cause i have been through it all before and as far as the pubic lice i would go to the DR and STOP letting anyone but you and your mom use your bathroom. burn it all have your house fumigated by pest control. 100% effective way is to get an insect bomb at wal-mart.. set three off and leave your house for a few hrs.. will kill all eggs and lice in your house. good luck. you have to spray and dry every thing. thers spray u can buy. got to put everything in a dryer. heat kills them. if it cant be dried in dryer then spray it With hot water Keep washing and keep shampooing. Orange peel spray. wash it in hot water and lysol. then dry in dryer. the heat should kill them Call in an air strike; a couple of 500 pound bombs should do the job. And quit inviting crack whores over to visit. At this point you should probably call an exterminator. Washing your clothes in really hot water should take care of the problem with your clothes but bedding should be thrown out and the mattresses, upholstery and flooring should be treated professionally. wash the curtains in dawn dish soap and the cloth let set for 5 minutes sprinkle salt or the ground I hear that dries them out and they die then all you do is vacumm the mess up wash & dry every thing in a HOT setting ...They can't live pass 48 hour without a[ host] body the heat will kill eggs. For large stuff blankets etc... I put in trash bag & close tight in Hot sun all day . Mattress pillows same rule spray lice spray on every thing when you bring it back in. baby oil in your hair helps too they can't hang on in oil. That's why most not, all black people hardly ever get head lice... hope this helps ya ...Thanks : ) it sounds like your pasing them back & fouth . Don't for get to put all brushes & combs in boiling water or thow out |
