Question about lice?

I found a seseme size bug lying next to my sons comb. The only way it would die is by be smashing it with the tip of a pen. Then, I freaked thinking my son or one of the other 3 people in my house has lice. I had everyone checked. I looked and school looked in my sons head. Nothing has turned up. No lice, no nits. But I'm still paranoid and my head itches. I usually chalk up my head itching to winter weather and my body being dehydrated. What else could the bug have been? It looked just like a lice bug... and is it possible that there was just ONE...? Am I just being paranoid or are these head checks just not seeing it....?

the bug was translucent/real light gray and looked just like lice pictures I have seen on internet....

If you have had several head checks by nurses and such and they don't see anything then I would say it was just a little bug, not lice. You notice your head itching more because your thinking about it.

Try using anti-lice shampoo for a week, then make conclusions about it.
