Lice or bug bites help!!!!!!!!?

Im 28 and always had dandruff/dry scalp in winter months and late summer, But about 2 weeks ago I started getting the creepy crawly feeling in my hair/scalp like something was moving. So the spot where I felt something I would itch, then it would get really itchy and a bite mark would be there, about the size of an eraser head. There would be about 3 bites all withing a inch of eachother. Ide itch for 2o minutes then the itchyness would go away and the bite(felt like a mosquito bite) would go away about a day later. I thought it was lice at first but my wife didnt see any, and all the bites were on the top of my head and side a little bit, but always above the ears(I hear lice are on back of neck line and behind the ears). The only thing I have noticed is everytime i get these bites I notice these little flys almost look like gnats but they are redish in color and are in my bathrooms and kitchen and even living room. Is it possible these are some kind of fly bites.

i see a dermatologist on the 18th but thats 9 days away, and I dont want to use lice chemicals till i find out if its def. them

I it is lice you will see tiny white eggs stuck to your hair shaft ,if you have darker color hair these are very easy to see.

It doesn't sound like lice to me. Lice bites itch all the time. Not just the bites, but the bugs crawling around. They don't fly around so the gnats you are seeing aren't them, they may be mosquito bites. Best of luck!

since you do see a red spot or a mark chances are it's not lice. i don't think they leave marks, it could be bug bites,

or it could be an allergy, to something ur using. or dry headed YOur skin feels like it's crawling cause it's so dry. mine'll do that.

you could also get an opinion from a pharmasist, sometimes they are very helpful.

If you don't want to use chemicals....and trust me they really don't work that well anyway try one of these two methods.

1. soak your hair and scalp with olive oil, cover with a shower cap and leave on for a hour. Comb through with a lice or nit comb and wash out your hair. If you have lice, you'll find them for sure. If you don't, your hair and scalp will have a good oil treatment.

2. soak your hair and scalp with hair conditioner. Any kind, scent, or brand will work. Again, cover all your hair with a shower cap and leave on for at least an hour. Comb through with a lice or nit comb...you may not see anything as most conditioners are creamy...

Make sure you rinse the comb out with each stroke....it's easier if someone else combs your hair. Yes, you want to pay special attention to the back of your head, and around the ears...but if you have lice they hang out where ever they want to.

If you have lice, treating your head is only the beginning...you have to treat all your clothes, bed items, any furniture you lay/sit on....and all family members. It is a total pain in the neck. If it is a problem with some other bug, like gnats or flies, you need to find their source and treat it ASAP....if you have pets, have you considered fleas? They will bite people as well...nasty critters.... Good luck

go to a pharmacist and get a lice comb and comb your hair to see if any crawlies come out or are stuck in the comb, its the only way to know for sure.

why dont you spray those creatures in your bathroom and kitchen? or get an exterminator.
