Lice problem?

my daughter always has lice and ive used the lice shampoo and got the eggs off and done all the washing of everything any advise

You have to pick through all of her hair with a comb under a really bright light and pick out all of the nits (eggs). The shampoo does not kill nits. You may have to pull out the hairs with nits attached because they are very hard to remove. Especially check around ears and neck. It will take a long long time. Use tea tree oil shampoo, get rid of all her hats that she has been wearing and inform her school, they need to inform everyone elses parents and do a head lice check. Otherwise, you will keep getting infested.

dont send her to school!

You should make sure you do her hair again in 7 or 10 days to make sure....

She may be picking them up at school or from a friend. Did you notify the school nurse that she had them? When you do that, the nurse checks the other kids, so that everyone gets treated. If some kid at school is still spreading them around, it' a never-ending cycle.

Wherever lice comes from they do not like oil, keep your scalp greased with a little Alberto vo5, or a good scalp oil

You are in for a battle, although my daughter only got it once it was horrible to deal with, my heart goes out to you.Read all instructions with the shampoo, you will need to repeat treatment even if you are sure that you got all the nits out. Was all bedding daily, bag up all stuffed animals for at least 2 weeks, sterilize all combs and brushes or just throw away and get new ones. Watch who she is hanging out with, one little girl who used to come over seemed to have it all the time. I spoke with the mother who was not doing what needed to be done, so she can no longer come and play it is sad, but what a nightmare. GOOD LUCK TO YOU

They sell the special combs for the eggs. Make sure that you get all the eggs out. Use baby oil at the roots to help loosen them up. You might also want to retreat her hair after a week. I would also talk to all her friends parents to let them know of the situation. You might want to clean your vehicle too if you have high backed seats that she can rest her head on.

Get rid of the pets and dander in the home. Maybe this'll help. Next time try cleaning with bleach and ammonia. Don't mix it though will cause a bad reaction or explosion.

Homeschool.

Lice have no place in the food chain. It would cost the taxpayers less money to hire a team of people to delouse every house in town than it would for that same town to continue treating the same outbreak over and over. Public schools generally only check the heads of kids who obviously have problems. Long gone are the days of random school-wide headlice sweeps. After they send a kid home, they often don't even recheck when the kid comes back to school to make sure that they are actually clean.

There's really no way to prevent it. You can tell her to stop sharing brushes or jackets or whatever, but that's only half the problem, and the other half is not something you can control. Lice can jump. And every time your child stands in the cafeteria line, has to share a locker or "cubby" with another child, or sits on any piece of furniture, she runs the risk of re-infesting.

Oh, and the person above me has no idea what s/he is talking about, but the people above him/her do.

The shampoo doesn't kill the eggs, just the live lice, that's why it's very important to comb through as carefully as possible after your done with the shampoo. Besides just washing the bedding and clothes I'd recommend the spray you can purchase for your furniture. Also I would go the school your daughter is attending and complain...If your daughter is constantly having this problem then the school needs to do a better job of checking the children and sending home the letters to the other parents informing them of the issue. What ever you do don't get angry with your daughter I'm sure her feelings are hurt as well. Good luck to you:)
