Could my Friend Have Body Lice?

Hi!

Well Recently my friend came to me and told me to check her back and body for body lice. At first I was like huh?!? but then i did and i pulled off a whitishOval egg-looking thing off her back...she didnt have many just a couple here and there...but the thing that confused me was that some of these 'eggs' were attached to hair and some weren't ...We read online that body lice lays eggs in the seams of clothes, but we found none there. I then asked her if she itched often and she told me she didnt, and i believe her because i dont remember her scrathing profusely ever. Also I saw no louses.

She also showers like everyday so I have a hard time believing this is body lice...I mean she has the largest laundry load I have ever seen!

But Then again im not a doctor...so can someone help us??

She doesnt have head lice people...im talking about body lice...theres a diffrence

She might have hair lice or head lice...whatever you call it. the ones that live in your hair.

Body lice will usually cause itching and there will be raised red areas where the louse lay eggs. I have heard it said that lice like clean hair not dirty hair, and I tend to believe it.

it does sound weird , your friend could have nits, they only like clean hair. get her to use tea tree shampoo and conditioner or to add about four drops of pure lavender oil to her shampoo.

Lice are similar to fleas but attach their eggs to hair. The eggs are called nits. An infestation will frequently not be noticed until it is very extreme. The itching will start and they will be easily seen then.
It's necessary to get a special shampoo/soap (available otc) to kill them. There a very fine toothed combs that can help dislodge the nits from the hair shafts. At the same time, all previously worn clothing and bed linens should be machine laundered and dried.
Body lice, which move about freely on the hair and somewhat on the skin, are not the same as crabs.
Crabs are in the mite family and are found in the pubic area where the body is warm nearly all the time. It only takes a few of them to become very itchy as they cling and crawl very tightly against the skin. The quickest way to get rid of them is to shave every bit of pubic hair and that in the surrounding areas while in the shower. Follow the same laundry advice.
