Leukemia...?

my boyfriend has leukimia, and I was wondering if I couple get it from him, or if he could send the toxins from the chemo from him to me? Like from kissing, oral sex, or sex? He is in remission, but still takes chemo therapy and has this surgery every few weeks its an OP back surgery. (where they take the fluid out of his back). Also, whenever I do kiss him, or anything I feel sick after? Is this my imagination?

No you can't catch Leukemia by kissing him or holding hands, etc. This is just a mental image you are painting in your mind about getting ill. It's normal for you to worry. The best thing you can do is educate yourself on Leukemia and it will also help you to understand what your bf is going through. I wish you both the best.

nooo, its cancer. cancer is not contagious. my grandfather JUST died from leukemia. it was horrible...

this site will answer everything. I hope he gets better!

The person asking does not think she will catch leukemia, she is talking about treatment and the chemo!

u cant spread cancer but i dont kno about spreading the toxins

It is your imagination! I hope you aren't being weird with him because of your uneducated self. It is NOT contagious. Why don't you do some research on his leukemia and the chemo he is on, so you are educated on it, and your imagination won't get a hold of you.

Same exact thing here. I have a best friend with leukemia, and my boyfriend has it too. Your thinking about it to much. You wont get sick, I promise you. It's more emotionally draining than anything. Its a hard thing to go through, and if you need anyone to talk to feel free to message me, I know what your going through.

No it's not contagious, and yes it's your imagination.

no cancer is not contagious

yes i think its your imagination

im sorry for what your going through

no you can't get it! Yes it is your imagination. Sorry about your bf, hope he is well soon.

I know you may really like him, but I would be very careful. Wash your hands and tell him that you like him, but don't want to get sick from him. Try to stop all the kissing and stuff just until he gets better. Please be careful because leukemia is not a pretty disease!
