Leukemia ?

Has anyone experienced leukemia with a normal white cell count??

No. That would be impossible. Even if the total white blood count fell within normal range, the differential count would reveal 0 of every type. The white blood cells are all misformed. So, even if the person was in an early enough stage that the total was in normal range, the counts would not be normal at all.

The WBC can be normal. The differential (breakdown of the types and number of WBCs) would not be normal however as a rule.. one exception can be very, very early CLL (chronic lymphocytic leukemia) before the lymphocyte count has risen much (of course you would have to stumble on this disease at this point serendipitously).
In any case, all the other counts wouldn't be "0" unless there were 100% blasts in the peripheral blood, which is not terribly common. Usually you will see a bunch of blasts and some residual more normal appearing cells too. Classically a "leukemic hiatus" is seen-- normally one will see a range of WBCs going from most immature (and recently released from marrow) to most mature (oldest). with various progressive stages of cell development in between. Blasts, the most immature, are not typically seen in blood. The leukemic hiatus is when you see some of the more mature cells and most else are blasts, with none of the intermediate cells in between.
