Leukemia.. How can I help my little nephew (6mths)? |
Hi all, Just wanted some Ideas thrown around on how to help out my sister and her husband. There little boy Mitchell has been told he has Leukemia. (about 2 weeks ago) My heart goes out to Mitchell and his family. Get another family member like an Aunty and close friends to help. See people/businesses like your local butcher for free sausages, local sports clubs, rotary, lions club in Australia take on causes like this. Contact your local foundation, be pro-active. Mum and Dad might be reluctant to ask but it's up to you to take the pressure off them. Tell Mitchell he made my day/week/month! So glad my idea could help. In making his life a little better he made mine a little better too! :) I would like to hear of any news if it's ok. santayls@gmail.com Report It Try getting sponsored by people to raise money for them. I don't know where you live but in Ontario we have the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. Parents can stay at the Ronald MacDonald house which is close by. The Social Services Department at any hospital can help out with food and lodging. I hope this helps you during this difficult time. |
