Leukemia without bleeding?

Is it possible to have leukemia without excess bleeding, but with bruising? Like having it and your cuts clot normaly without bleeding for too long, but getting bruises like people with leukemia do.

Im not saying I think I have it, im just curious after hearing about it.

Yes, it is possible to have leukemia without excess bleeding.

My mother had acute leukemia. You bruise because your blood platelet level is low. Depending on how low your red blood cell count is, will determine whether or not your cuts will clot normally.

Usually people with leukemia are constantly having their blood checked and they usually undergo transfusions regularly, this is what prevents them from excess bleeding.

If you have bruising (or fatigue or pain or twinges in your lower left side), go get your white blood cell count checked as soon as you can--tomorrow, if possible. If you have leukemia, the sooner you begin treatment, the better your chances. It is far better to be diagnosed in the chronic stage than in the acute stage. Please don't wait.
