i am doing a prodject to show people the impact leukemia has on the lives of people who have it and their loved ones around them. If you know/knew anyone who has or had leukemia please give me thier name! that's all i am asking.
All I am asking for is their:
-name (first names are fine, i don't need thier last name)
-if they died, the year or birth and year of death
-if they are still alive and fighting, their age
-and any other info that you want to give.
This is all i am asking. My mom died from leukemia and I am putting her name with this list, but i need other names as well. The more the better. I want to show how leukemia affects people and how every person isn't just a statistic.
I want to show people how important it is to know that leukemia is a very serious thing and that it shouldn't be taken lightly!

Induction chemo produced remission, went through 5 more rounds of consolodation chemo
Relapsed Jan 07 23 yrs of age
Induction chemo produced remission
One round of consolodation
TBI and Fludarbine starting 07/09/07, day 1 of cord blood transplant on 07/18/07
Without counting I am something like +120 post transplant, still fighting. Just got over a staph infection, fungal infection, and am dealing with chronic gvhd

My great aunt Wilma has cml, was diagnosed about a year ago, roughly 70 yrs of age, being treated with gleevic
My third cousin died from aml as a newborn, dont remember his name, about 10 yrs ago
My jr hs counselor, Marcella had aml and was treated with an allo transplant, been in remission for 13 yrs. Dont know a whole lot about her case though.

He was one of the first patients treated with bone marrow transplants, he fought like mad and looks like he's winning. Treated in Austria.
Got infected with Hepatitis C after a plasma transfusion, is still being treated and his levels are undetectable now.

I went through 7 rounds of Chemo and then a Bone Marrow Transplant on April 18 07.
now I am in remission, but I still have flare ups of GVHD
