Leg injury someone help? |
i fell 2 days ago and i scrached up my knee. it did not swell until today and now it is all purple what is wrong/what should i do. Congradulations! you have an infection. Go to Urgent Care. It's infected. Get medical help immediately. Go to the doctor soon before it gets more infected and spreads. If you wait, you could end up with problems as serious as blood poisoning or loss of the leg. If you go now, most likely there will be no problems (antibiotics tend to start working fast in my experience). The doctor will probably give you antibiotics or a prescription for them (tell the doc if you're allergic to any meds - they should ask you anyway). Follow the instructions for taking them and take ALL of them unless you have a bad reaction. If you have a bad reaction, contact the doctor for a different prescription. Bottom line: don't wait and you'll probably be fine. If you wait, you're risking your health and your life. |
