Knee injury and shorter leg? |
when i was in 6th grade i fell on a rock and put a hole in my knee, the skin around my knee ripped open which required 3 layers of 150 stitches. I am 20 now and the same leg is shorter than my other one, i kinda walk funny on it. When it happened the doctor said my knee would heal itself. It still feels tingly and slightly numb in some spots, is this normal? depending on if you injured the "growth plate" in your knee when you fell, it could have caused your leg to have not grown as much as the un-injured leg. It is also possible, depending on the amount of damage that was done, to have permanent nerve damage there. Whether or not this is "normal" may not be the right term, but it is possible that all of your symptoms and signs are because of that incident when you were in the 6th grade. |
