I am having severe leg pains...no injury. I was wondering what may be the cause? |
I am 44..I do not think growing pains..lol It could be many things. I would first have your electrolytes checked. Too much or too little potassium can cause leg cramps. Calcium can affect muscles. But is it a muscle pain? Joint? Bone? Blood flow? Do you have diabetes? Without knowing anything else, it would be hard to guess what is causing it. Walking, stop walking so much. Just don't leave the couch. go to the doc, that's very bad... it might be ur bones.. or ur muscles.. u have to see someone. many diseases come from just that little pain.. get checked growing pains??? I dont know how old u are so thats the only thing I can think of. Take zinc supplements. Is the pain clenching as if someone wound the leg muscle into a vice and won't let go? Do you get this pain in your hands and feet too? Leg pains with no injury are almost 100% of the time signs of a zinc deficiency. Take about 13-15 mg 3-4 times a day, always with some food. If that doesn't do the trick you can up the dose to 20-25 mg 3-4 times a day, but be careful or else you tend to get a sick stomach. (No complications, but if the zinc touches the stomach wall you'll get nauseous). it may be leg cramps caused by a lack of potassium..eat a banana or drink some orange juice. there are a variety of reasons, but i would run not walk to |
