Is eating 3 eggs, one leg of chicken, and 1 tsp of peanut butter a day OK if you're on a protien diet?

I'm 15 years old. I'm 5 foot 8 and 170lbs. (I'm assuming this info is relivant) I am on a protien diet and I want to lose this weight in a healthy way. I dont want to starve myself at all and develop an eating disorder but i would like to shave a couple of lbs off my weight. My question once again: Is eating 3 eggs, 1 chicken leg, and 1 tsp of peanut butter per day a good way to lose weight and still stay healthy?

Also if anyone has been on this diet or if anyone has any insight i would greatly appreciate some tips/suggestions. Also does anyone have an estimation on how fast i can expect the weight to come off? (I exersize for about 1 hour everyday, cardio, and do 200 crunches before bed)

THANKS SO MUCH!

You would not be taking in enough food to sustain daily life and this would cause your metabolize to back pedal and would put your body into famine mode. Yes you would loose weight in the beginning but your body would then start to store everything and the second you went back to eating normally you would gain weight right back and then some.

On the other side the peanut butter is a really bad idea in any diet, it is not only loaded with fat and the peanut has one of the highest carb counts of the nuts, you would be beterr off eating a simple balanced diet consisting of alot of leafy green veggies and leaner protein like ground turkey, chicken, or fish. also supplementing your diet with omega 3 fatty acids and cla is a great way to help your body choose to store "good" fat and flush the stuff that stays where you dont want it.

No, that is not nearly enough food for someone of your size. If you throw your body into starvation mode, it will slow down your metabolism and hold onto all the fat it can.

If you are hungry, you should eat.

BTW, I hope that peanut butter is just ground peanuts, not the sugar and chemical filled commercial crap.

you need to eat more.
try adding lowfat yogurt, or lean chicken or turkey, it has protein and will help add a few more calories.

I know this may sound weird but you can't only eat that in and entire day! You body needs more nutrition than that. The protein route is a good one. Please take a look at the site below and I can send you some FREE samples of the products for you to try. There will be NO obligation or pressure at all. I am not trying to pressure people. That sounds like a decent diet plan. I would add some tuna, baked beans, and broccili to that diet... maybe an apple in the morning. You have to make sure you still get essential vitamins in the protein foods you eat, thats the problem with your diet. But your workout routine sounds good, especially the crunches. It would be good to do some resistance training, like 50 push ups a day. At this rate you should be about 150 lbs in 20 weeks.
