What is causing this onset of health issues?

why do 1 in 3 people have acid refulx?what is causing restless legs syndrom?sleep apnea?asthma?extreme childhood obesity?extreme anxiety disorders?

don't we need to know what is CAUSING all of these problems?not just research treatments or cures. years ago you never heard of these things,all these ailments that plague us ... in the old days,not everyone suffered from heartburn etc - is it the genetically altered foods we consume? what is going on,i would like your opinion on this and any ideas you may have on the subject ......

It's likely a combination of several factors, but I wonder if all of the pharmaceutical advertisements don't send people to the doctor's for things they might have ignored otherwise.
An unhealthy diet can cause acid reflux and certainly childhood obesity.
I totally agree about the importance of finding causes for all of the problems. There seems to be a trend of unhealthy lifestyle choices followed by trips to the doctor to try to undo the negative consequences. It makes much more sense to try to make healthy choices on a daily basis.

you know it's funny...When I lived in Canada, I'd get acid reflux only if I was singing a lot. Moved to the states and I have horrible reflux almost every day. it's something in the food. that's all I can put it to, because in Canada they don't put as much junk as they do in the states.
