Learning Disorder ?? |
I'm 21 and need to kinda know if this is a learning disibility or not. I struggled in School in some subjects esp. English and Math. I was lucky to graduate. I was never in any special ed classes though. And sometimes I get forgetful like I gotta think what I was going to do or what I was doing. I hope this is a learning disorder and nothing more. I'm scared to see a doc afraid it might be something else. I did see a doc one time when I was young who though I was a little slow though. Any advice ? Please help! Thanks. yeah I am just scared because my uncle has a brain tunor and I read one of the signs is being forgetful. I do have headaches sometimes in back of head doc. said tension headaches. Which goes along with my back problems I have. I just wish I wouldnt be so forgetful. Im a very faitful person which helps out! I even let my liscense run out fear of driving. Any dispoder u guys think I got or could get treated ? Thanks. Talk to your doctor--it could be that you have add. Besides fear is just fear. From the way you write that question you don't have learing disorder, you have a probia. Some fool told you you have a learing disorder and you believe. There are millions of people who never graduated who cannot even read or write. Those who need special classes and failed at those too. Come on you are fine. There are a lot of different types of learning disorders. Struggling with English and Math in particular would make me look into dyslexia a bit more. There are different types of dyslexia as well. Being forgetful...sometimes it has to do with stress levels...possibly some anxiety going on. Don't be afraid to see a Doc. It's sometimes just relieving to here them tell you it'll be alright. Good luck!! :) I just went back to school this Fall (Junior collage). I was always told I had learning disorders through out school. I went to the counseling office and asked to be tested. It was really interesting!! I do have learning disorders BUT I scored really well on the test. There were 4 areas that they tested. I scored really high in 2 and average in 2. Because there was such a huge gap between them it is considered a learning disability. What is also great about having this information is that I can go to classes that will give me the tools to get around the learning disability and I'm able to have extra time for timed test. i say relax.. if you need to recite your vocab words 4 times instead of 2 who gives a ****? don't ever give up. period. Don't be scared I had I learn disablaty and still do and I still have a hard time trying to stay on what i need to get done sometimes it's just hard for people. But do go get looked at because their are thing you can do to help yourself that they can give you. Or they can tell you were to go to get a class to help you. And for a doc to as you are a little slow the hell with that everyone is different. |
