I have an undiagnosed depressive disorder.....what do you think it is?

I've been misdiagnosed for years with various disorders and I know I have a depressive disorder even though the idiots that have tested me never looked for one.

I've had episodes where my brain can't properly process time and it flies by too fast causing me to shut down. Some times after vists from close friends and family and they leave I feel very depressed almost overwhelmed. I'm pretty clingly to people I care about and scared something will happen to them.
I have no self confidnece but at the same time Know I can do anything. it's a weird sensation. I discorage easily Have no real motovation. I'm extremely paranoid and just every now and then feel down and lonely.

I've never been tested for a depressive disorder I have for other learning disorders and mental conditions but never got the same diagnosis twice.

So....any idea exactly what I have?

Oh i'm not like suicidal or anything and it's not urgent or anything I just want to know what to look for and and research what I have.

I used to see a therapist and he just brushed all these things aside like it was nothing. But they were very major problems when they first came now they come and go and I get over them on my own.

Various personality disorders come to mind.

* Paranoid personality disorder
* Borderline personality disorder
* Avoidant personality disorder
* Dependent personality disorder

Find a therapist that listens, one that you respect and can grow to trust. Brushing anyone off suggest that you weren't seeing a very good therapist. Your depressive periods may be symptoms of any one or combo of other disorders. In any case, therapy is always recommended for any mental/affective problems.

It sounds kinda like you have an anxiety disorder. You really need to try to convince yourself that those bad thoughts are far fetched and that you family and friends are safe and that you are a successful person.

Anxiety disorder NOS comes to mind. You are anxious about what you might have... among other things. See a doc, there are antidepressants they commonly use to treat anxiety symptoms.

Best wishes to you.

you have an anxiety disorder,or attention deficit disorder.and depression. have you kept following up on all the diagnosis's you have had,like taking medication for them?if you have never gotten a correct answer,keep looking for someone to help you.not a GP,but a psychiatrist. he will work with you until you get the right treatment,as long as you keep going and trying different things until you feel good.it isn't a fast cure for most people.it can take a long time to try things that will work for you.don't give up.you will feel so much better.

A lot of people have symptoms like yours, including me some times. I think it would help you if you joined a group activity that you have an interest in or volunteer somewhere to get you out. I feel worse when I sit around. Get a dog and walk it. Bye a bike and go for a ride, Have a family picnic. Life's to short to spend it in a dark place. Please talk to your friends and family when you feel bad, and ask them for help and advice. The people who love you are the people to help you. XOXO

It is likely that you have some sort of depression or anxiety whether it be minor or major. I recommend going to this site and clicking on which self-test you would like to test your self on to see the possibilities of what you might be dealing wtih.
