Why don't I understand my History textbook?

I can reread the same paragraph 10 times and it will go right though me. I don't have trouble with novels or stories, but I just can't comprehend my history text book. Is this a learning disorder?

If you can read other books then it is likely you don't have a learning disorder. It sounds like maybe history is such a bore to you that it's hard for you to concentrate. Maybe you can go to a book store and pick up a book that tends to cover what your history book covers; it might help you to further understand your history book.

Well, maybe what you are reading is just boring.

I doubt it's a disorder. Just go away from what you are reading for about an hour and then go back and read it. Maybe even taking some notes on what you read will help you remember...for a test or homework.

well, i get it too, i dont think its anything to worry bowt. just try gettin plenty of sleep and eating a good balanced diet.

Read the paragraph, then re read the question. THEN If you don't get it, ask the question, and then read a sentence to see if it answers the question. If not, go to the next one. Sometimes you will find there are several answers in different sentences, but you miss them.
