No one really cares! that is what I am learning as an adult!?

Yes I probably suffer from some sort af anxiety disorder? I dont know the feeling of heavyness in my chest, a thumping heart when a door closes, or toilet is flushed, not being able to fall asleep because of constant thing running through my brain! I dont know why I get dizzy when I stand up? Maybe I should take the anti depressants they prescribed me, but then I worry about their side effects! so maybe I am losing my mind, and I know that no one really cares, but this is a way for me to feel a little better, just telling everyone I am sad to know when you are no longer a child, you no longer matter!
I do however care about all of you, and wish you all happiness!

Wow, I care or I wouldn't be answering your question right now and other people care too. Just look at these answers and you will see that people do care. You need some real contact though with others. Perhaps a counselor, a concerned boss, or a preacher might be someone you could look to for expressing your worries and sadness to. It helps to talk about things and get them off your chest. To find common people who can share your interests and goals with. The sunshine and walking can lift you up when you are down. Perhaps you have a bike that you haven't rode lately or you could go to see a good funny movie with a friend. You need to be eating good foods, resting at least 8 hours, and exercising more. The hard parts of being an adult is that no one is there to do the things that you were used to them doing for you, the health insurance that you had as a child might not be available to you as an adult, and you have to work to provide the comforts that you need such as food, shelter, etc.
Yet those things can also be uplifting, a challenge, something that shows YOU CAN DO IT and lets you know that you are important. I'm not a high proponent of anti-depressants as they never seemed to help my family much but they do work for some people and if you have side effects from them make sure you let your doctor know and make sure you tell them it is side effects that you are experiencing. Some doctors don't recognize your symptoms as side effects and so they give you other drugs to stop those symptoms when they should be trying a different anti-depressant instead. I wish you all sorts of happiness to hun!!!! People do care and keep sharing your feelings with others on here. People on Yahoo Answers love to help others.

wow....you really, REALLY need to start taking those pills....any side effects couldn't be worse than the paranoid and depressed characteristics you're showing here.

Hey A M, yeah it sucks to have anxiety/depression....
I know I live it every dam day. Hard to trust the pills, but some are better than others. Prozac is good for a while, but makes a scatterbrain. Lexapro has been working well.... fixes the blues AND the angries, for me. I am here and I care. Hard to see who does give a dam when we're in the pit and can't get out, but know that I'm rooting for you!

they do care they're paying attention to you

Try your meds. Give them a few weeks to get over the side effects, then you can make an informed decision with your doc as to whether they are working for you or not.

I am not saying that medication is the permanent solution; medication can be very helpful in starting your internal journey. When one is calm and able to rationalize, the world seems to be a lot more open.

As well, when you are a child, you don't have the life experience to make informed decisions that will keep you safe and healthy. Those skills aren't innate, they need to be taught to us so that we can utilize them as adults. So when others are taking care of you, they are also hoping that you are learning how. It is a lot harder than some people think, however; brain chemistry can have a lot to do with *how* we perceive things and learn in our early years. The caring doesn't lessen, it just becomes demonstrative in a different way.

Please believe me when I say that there are some people out there who really do care about you. I even care, even though I don't know you - I cared enough to write this from my heart in the hope that it helps even a little bit.

:)
