If i write on my self can i get lead poisoning?

cause i use pens to write stuff on my skin like hearts names flowers and tattoos but i do it myself with pens only can i still get lead poisoning

NO!

The ink in pens do not contain lead.

You should not be doing this it looks tacky and cheap, it is worse than tattoos and even those are tacky!

If you were meant to have pictures, drawings and writing on you, then you would have been born with it!

There is no lead in ink as far as I know. If you use lead based paint maybe, but they don't sell it anymore.
Use something non toxic.

Mabye but low chances but I would stop anyway

The real question is if you don't write on yourself how will you remember your name???

good lord....!!! What will they come up with next!!!!!

No, but you might get a spanking!!

No, there is NO LEAD in pen ink...also....there's no lead in pencils either...they're made out of graphite!

I do not believe that there is lead in ink. Pencils are carbon in the center.

no

pens contain ink which usually does not contain lead. if u poke yourself with a mechanical pencil or a yellow pencil that is not a No. 2 and then it gets in ur bloodstream, then u should be concerned.

No but u shouldn't write on yourself it's bad

HA!!! PENCILS DONT EVEN CONTAIN LED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mmmmmm, no.

Kbye

most likely not

well, ur not using led so ur not going to get led poisoning. u might be able to get ink poisoning, but that only might happen if you cut ur self and the ink get into the wound.

no. unless you write on your tingue with lead.even then you need a large quantity of lead such that your body cannot cleanse and get rid of them in time, such that they accumulate....

Pens don't have lead in them, so no. Not even pencils have real lead anymore. Feel free to draw all over yourself.

the answer is, absolutley not! there is no lead in pens, stupid.

and if you write on yourself with a pencil you have some more serious questions to ask yourself

You don't get lead poisoning from pens. You might get it from lead pencils, which aren't made anymore.

I've known people that like to write things on themselves and they don't get ink poisoning either. Just don't write on an open cut on your arm or something and you should be fine.

Nope, no lead in inkpens. For the record, a pencil lead, is not really made of lead, its made of graphite.

certanly not... modern writing tools like pencils, ball pensm crayons and normal ink don't contain lead. and most of them are non toxic anyway.
take care

No, All pens, pencils and other writing utensils made in the last 20 years do not contain any lead. This would be the same for any interior paints.

Pencils are now made of from Graphite and other materials that do not have a risk of lead poisoning.

hi well i guess u can their's always a chance but i wrote on my self all the time in school and still do it but so far like 10 years down the road still fine so do it or don't up 2 u i guess we all take chances right well no problems here !

How Does Lead Poisoning Occur?
Most commonly, young children get lead poisoning from lead-based paint, which was used in many U.S. homes until the late 1970s, when the dangers of lead became known and the government banned the manufacture of paint containing lead.

That's why kids who live in older homes are at a greater risk for lead poisoning. Also at risk are those who immigrate to the United States or are adopted from a foreign country that doesn't regulate the use of lead.

Lead is also found in other environmental areas, including:

Contaminated soil, which is found near busy streets, in part because lead was an ingredient in gasoline until the late 1970s. The soil that surrounds homes that were painted with lead-based paint may be contaminated too. Contaminated soil is a particular concern because it can also introduce lead dust into the home.
Water that flows through old lead pipes or faucets, if the pipes begin to break down
Food stored in bowls glazed or painted with lead, or imported from countries that use lead to seal canned food
Some toys, jewelry, hobby, and sports objects (like stained glass, ink, paint, and plaster)
Some folk or home remedies, such as greta and azarcon (used to treat an upset stomach)
