Are parents having their children tested for Lead poisoning? |
I've been wondering about this for a while. With all the recalls over toys and products made in China, is any parents testing their children for lead? If there is lead poisoning, do they plan to sue the company (like Mattel) who endorses these products? No kids should suffer serious brain damage if it can be prevented? Our kids' pediatricians routinely did lead screening as part of well-baby and well-child care. i've had my son tested. not so much because of the toy recalls though but because we live in an older house. go for organic crafted toys like with wood etc Not that I know of. Our dogs got three leads - is he in Danger... Well I wouldnt worry about it if i were you unless the kids play with mattel toys - dont worry about all of that nonsense. It could happen, but it is very unlikely. I think that it's a lot of hype - toys years ago had considerably more lead in them than the toys we are hearing about from China right now, and those kids grew up just fine. If they're not, they should. It's not just in the toys, think of how many foreign products you have in and around your house. Children put ANYTHING in their mouths. It was just on the news about a child who was diagnosed as autistic, and two years later, they found out he is suffering from lead poison, not autism. It's going to take years for them to undo the damage that was done. EVERYBODY NEEDS TO GET THEIR CHILDREN TESTED!! dont test them treat them. The best hevey metal kelator (remover) is cilantro (corriander) So eat lots and entertain your kids with better things than dolls Hello, My dog has got a lead... To those who say it's a waste of time and that we older citizens survived lead hazards, I say Whoa. |
