Computer and lead poisoning?

I live in california. I saw IBM had issued a warning saying when you touch laptop accessories, you are exposed to lead.
(which is known to cause cancer)

So it says wash your hands before eating....

Is this true ?

I feel it is not practical...Most of the times, i snack. i can't
keep washing my hands each time.....

Because of other environmental concerns about lead, most PCs and notebooks are being produced with lead free circuit boards now. Lead exposures with older PCs is very minimal and was more of an environmental issue with the disposal of old PCs. A current concern is from the Mercury used in the production of LCD monitors. This would not be a big concern if old electronics equipment was recycled properly and not put into landfills.

thats nuts.Everything we do will cause us cancer.So till you get it live happy.Everyone is born with the cells that cause cancer anyhow.Its just something happends and causes those cells to explode and we are told we have cancer.And since doctors are baffled on it they comeup with why you have it.For example say you smoke.There you go doctors say thats why.Say you like to sunbathe.There you go again.Its pure bull.I worked in a nursing home and some of those people had been smoking for 70 years.Lungs just as clear as mine.Others never touched it and they had lung cancer.

ok, so every time i touch a my keyboard, im loaded with lead. I mean, a keyboard is a accessory, and i have a laptop. I touch my laptop charger, i am loaded with lead, because it is a accessory. Why havn't I died from lead poisoning from cancer even though i use my laptop 24/7? Because its not true. (and BTW, i eat constantly while im playing games or working with my laptop, so...... yeah.....)

Well darn, and to think I just ate a piece of pizza while typing. Better start saying my goodbyes.. :P
