Can you get lead poisoning from tatooing yourself with sharpies?

Me and some friends are doing that and I was curious from my health...please answers ASAP.
Thanks mucho.

Sharpie markers are non toxic. They don't have lead in them ... pencils are not made of lead anymore either, they are made of graphite - so if your little sister or daughter gets stabbed by some obnoxious kid in Math class, you don't have to worry about lead poisoning (although it COULD get infected, and the kid WOULD deserve a "beatin" - lol).

Here is a site with more info on Sharpie's:

I think the method of removing the "tattoo" (which I am thinking is on TOP of the skin ~ and not UNDER the layer like a 'real' tattoo) is much more harmful to your system than actually drawing on yourself with a marker.

well it won't be doing much good for you!

You could get a really bad skin infection, blood poisoning or worse... gangrene. Dont do it.
