Will i get lead poisoning? |
my stupid class mate stabbed me with a mechanical pencil near my shoulder its not a very deep cut but will i get infected? it still hurts it looks like a stich bacuse he dragged the pencil down i mean stitch No, your body will fight the infection and treat the wound. (If you have an infection). no, because pencils nowdays are made with graphite and not lead because kids would axcidentally eat the lead or have something like your situation happen. graphite isn't dangerous. you'll be fine. pencil leads are not made of lead, they are made of carbon. So, you won't get lead poisoning, however, you could get an infection in the wound, clean it well with soap and water, put a dab of antibiotic ointment on it and cover it with a bandaid, do that every day for three days. If it isnt better by then, time to see a doctor. NO you will not those mechanical pencils dont contain real lead its just harmless graphite BUT if it were me i would have done the same or worse to them lol You won't get lead poisoning, but you need to put some ointment on it. Try putting a band-aid on it also. I hope you told someone what your classmate did. That wasn't cool at all. it's graphite... but i would find some lead and stab your classmate with it. haha |
