Latex Allergy, does wearing thick socks protect feet from reacting with latex in shoes? |
As well, how far does the latex have to be from the skin to cause a reaction? Will a piece of cloth, or a layer of another material, between the skin and the source of latex be enough to protect from a reaction? Please help, and thank you very much in advance. I would stay as far away from any latex as possible. I have a severe latex allergy. I steer clear of it. Keep in mind too that when in places like the hospital, it's in the air. If your allergy is respratory as well as topical, wear a mask when entering medical facilities. Good luck. Don't wear them. Find shoes without latex. That's what I do. Even if your reaction is only mild the next reaction may be far far worse. |
