What is the alternative to condom for a person suffering from Latex allergy?

Condom cannot be used by a sexually active person who has latex allergy and this increases the chances of getting infected by HIV.

There are condoms made of lamb skin (don't know what part of lamb) but they are called Lambies I believe. Check with the pharmacy as they will know. My first husband had the same problem and it became a problem, so we went to the druggist and he found the lamb condoms that worked very well. They are thin like the latex ones, but may cost a bit more. Your health is surely worth the little extra for protection all around.

Good Luck & Be Well

Saran Wrap. Double-layered.

(I'm serious....otherwise there's always abstinence, but where's the fun in that?)

Not much...you can get condoms that are not made of Latex though...I believe they are made of sheep skin. They are very expensive though.

You can get non latex condoms. They are about 3 times as expensive but they are out there.
Drug stores have them. Look for Durex Avanti or Trojan Supra.

DO NOT USE SHEEP SKIN CONDOMS!!! THEY DO NOT PROTECT AGAINST HIV!!!!

They make latex free or sheepskin condoms, buy them, use them, every time...

use the ones made of polyurethane, they are for prevention of STDS and for pregnancy. check out this website. They are made by a reputable condom manufacturer, Durex.

Wow! I guess no sex is one alternative! ( I am not dyeing to have sex)
There are other condoms. check the label. Honestly though, how about celibates?

There are the lambskin condoms- but they are not as safe a latex- for protection against HIV_ I know those that have used saran wrap- no kidding- even a sandwich bag!!D

There are sheep skin condoms and others that do not contain latex.

Saran wrap? Tinfoil?

THere are polyurethane ones that have HIV protection, Lambies do not. Whatever you do DONT USE SARAN WRAP OR A BAGGIE! That will not provide protection.

I would go to the local drug store and ask the pharmacist. He/She might be able to lead you in the right direction.
