Itchy and Red...could it be a allergy?

I just started having sex with a new guy like 3 months ago! We always use condoms. Well 2 nights ago we used a different brand condom...and now my vagina is very red and itchy! I am thinking maybe i am allergic to the brand? or maybe even latex.."we went for a lot longer than ever the other night" I was told i couldnt wear rubberbands when i had braces because of a latex allergy! So what could this be..I am very worried...

It could be an STD, so I would get to a doctor, but if you have a latex allergy, you should be careful of using latex condoms.

Only a physician can diagnose you with an STD, and you should also mention a possible latex allergy so that you can get that confirmed!!

some people suffer latex allergies and should not use latex condoms. Ther's the old standby, used for centuries: sheepskin condoms, which are made from the internal lining of sheep. The main problem is that the pores are large enough for viral STDs (HPV-warts, HIV, herpes) to pass through. However, they can be effective to prevent pregnancy if used correctly, and can provide a better feel because they are thinner than latex condoms. Both oil and water based lubes can be used with sheepskin condoms.

You could also try the newest type of condom: polyerethane, or plastic. They are thinner and more expensive than latex condoms. Because they have been recently developed, the effectiveness in preventing STDs and pregnancies is still being studied. Most studies indicate that polyurethane condoms are as effective as latex condoms, but possibly, these condoms are not as flexible as latex. This means they are more likely to break (use lube!)

it's probably a latex allergy. next time use condoms that are latex free.

It is probably allergy.
