My blood presure dipped to 68/30 during a severe allergy attack..Can this cause heart problems?

I have had 7 attacks and went into anaphylactic shock twice last year do to latex/adhesive allergies.

In the ambulance my presure was 68/30...Could that cause heart problems having these attacks?
And frankly my diastolic is in the death range. I find it hard to believe. Could they have been wrong?(it was on the paper..I was way to out of it in the ambulance)... Because at the hospital ER it was 90/60.

I should add i have had over 30 severe attacks. 9 last year, 2 that I was in shock.
I have got rid of the carpet in my house. I never open mail. my sons do for me. I can not touch tape ever. I cover my hands when touching a cart at the store now. touched one that had tape on it ended in ICU. ugggggg it is a pain in the butt.

I ask this because thursday I go get 4 hours worth of test at Nuclear heart Center for chest pains I have been having the last two months. Just was wondering if this could be why I was having the chest pains.

your blood pressure dropping that low is your body's last ditch effort (so to speak) at preserving itself and slowing down the bloodflow to the rest of your body.

since it was an isolated occurance, the chances of it having long term effects are extremely rare unless you have a pre-existing heart condition (such as a murmur, leaking valve, congestive heart failure, etc)

the wonderful thing about emergency medicine nowdays is that they have medications out there that can be given (and probably were in your case) via I.V that will bring your blood pressure back up to normal within minutes.

i hope you have sought medical attention in the way of finding out exactly what you are allergic to and making sure you don't come in contact with these things anymore. i know latex is a hard one b/c i'm also allergic to it (and i work in healthcare). the tape is a major allergy for me too

you should have a regular dr that you follow up with routinely to follow the progression of your allergies. latex allergies are often linked to alot of food allergies as well so be careful (avovados, bananas, strawberries are have the same ingredients that the latex is made from)

as long as you don't continue to have these episodes, your heart should remain healthy but always check with a dr if you have important questions.

good luck!!

I tihnk that the reason is the allergy atack causing to you a circulatory shock. I dont think that heart is the problem. The problem is that in allergy reactions there is the collapsing of capillarys cusing low blood preasure
