My eye power is too high, planning on taking a laser surgery ? NEED help and ADVICE?

My left eye power is 6 and Right eye is 9. I know that is too high. I went to a eye clinic recently. Doc told me to take up zyoptic laser eye surgery, so that i no longer have to wear spectacle.

What i want to know is
1) Is laser eye surgery SAFE ?
2) Will i get my vision fully after surgery?

If u do have anything say please tell......

Always get a second opinion. And visit a dr that actually DOES the surgery because they will have to approve you for it anyway.
It's supposed to be pretty safe now, but of course there are no guarantees. You might have your vision totally corrected or you might not. Some people have to have follow up surgeries.
I know a few people who've had it done and they've all been pleased with the results.

I know everyone these days is running to get eye surgery, but I'm not satisfied that it's a safe enough method for long term
eye health.

Check out healthboards.com

A lot of people there have had the surgery, and there are some side effects you may not be aware of.

you mentioned very high errors {is it -9,-6 ?} take a second opinion from another surgeon
and it's not that safe

i guess you are a minus 6 and minus 9, i see alot of people that come into the office who have had it and they are happy and some are not long term who knows what will happen but eventually you will probably need reading glasses aroung age of 40 or up. its never guaranteed that you will be 20/20 after surgey just keep researching talk to people who have had it done
