Is there a way to cure nearsighted eyes besides laser eye surgery?

I'll do anything do get my eyes cured but I'm not old enough for laser surgery.

Usually contacts and glasses are the best bet. Some eye docs have other procedures too. Go talk to ur local eye doctor to check out ur options. Good luck!!!!

Don't get laser surgery. It causes more problems than is solves.

What's wrong with contact lenses or glasses?

The only other alternative is an intra-ocular lense implant. They used to only be done for cataract surgery but, now they are doing them for nearsighted people. I had both eyes done last year for cataracts. It's expensive though if your insurance doesn't cover it.

Susie Q, I've heard that those implants are only good for slightly or moderately nearsighted people. They are not good for those who are severely nearsighted. I don't really know why that is.
